Dan Orlovsky not expected to return to Lions
by Anthony Cervino | Thu, Feb 16th 2:02pm EST
Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky told the media he was informed by the team that they are "going in a different direction with Jake Rudock as [their] back-up to Matthew [Stafford]" in 2017. (Ross Tucker on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Orlovsky, an impending free agent, is unlikely to be re-signed by the Lions. They informed the signal caller that Jake Rudock will be Matthew Stafford's backup in 2017. Orlovsky did not appear in a game or attempt a pass for Detroit since 2015. He'll likely be signed as a backup elsewhere for 2017.
