Ladarius Green expected to be retained by Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Ed Bouchette believes the team will retain tight end Ladarius Green in 2017. "The decision, I believe, has been made," Bouchette said via Steelers chat. "He is on their roster and will remain there. No reason for them not to bring him back. His health will determine what happens from there." (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
Fantasy Impact:
Shortly following Pittsburgh's elimination from the 2016-2017 playoffs, Bouchette strongly believed that the team would part ways with Green this offseason due to his injury concerns. However, the beat reporter's sentiments have since changed. He now feels that they will retain Green. If Green is, in fact, on Pittsburgh's roster at the start of 2017, and his health is intact, expect the injury-plagued tight end to enter the new season as the starter. As much as the Steelers have praised Jesse James' play, Green presents a better threat from the pass-catching standpoint. He is a matchup nightmare for the opposing defense due to his size and speed.
