Vick Ballard likely done for season
by Jason Mullins | Fri, Jul 25th 8:17pm EDT
Vick Ballard suffered an injury to his left lower leg and had to be carted off the field in today's afternoon practice session. The injury is being described as a probable tear to his Achilles tendon. If confirmed with a forthcoming MRI, it will certainly mean the end of Ballard's 2014 campaign (The Indianapolis Star)
Fantasy Impact:
The injury occurred during the non contact portion of practice, the same as his ACL tear from last season. The Colts will now have to look for rush support from likely starter Trent Richardson to improve upon last season's dismal performance. The oft injured veteran Ahmad Bradshaw will be the primary threat to that role.
