Babin, Jets strike two-year deal
by Tom Woods | Wed, Jul 23rd 6:37pm EDT
The New York Jets signed former Jaguars defensive end Jason Babin to a two-year contract. He'll join up with the team in SUNY Cortland for training camp. (New York Daily News)
Fantasy Impact:
Babin should provide pressure off the edge as a situational pass rusher in New York. Rex Ryan has managed to get a lot out of players with less ability than Babin, and so the former first-round pick could end up being an asset for Gang Green. It is likely that his fantasy impact won't be sky high, but he may be able to help add a few points to the Jets' defense and increase their stock ever so slightly.
