Evan Engram Signs With Broncos

The Denver Broncos have signed Evan Engram to a two-year deal.

Engram lands in Denver to play the “Joker” role for Sean Payton. Engram has cemented himself as a TE1 over the last three seasons (TE12, TE4, TE7), and there’s no reason to expect a drop-off now. Engram should compete with Courtland Sutton for the weekly lead in targets as a trusted weapon for Bo Nix in an offense that, after Week 9 last year, ranked 12th in red-zone passing rate.

Van Jefferson Signs With Titans

The Titans agreed to terms with WR Van Jefferson on a one-year, $2.5 million contract.

Fantasy Impact: Jefferson will likely continue to hold a depth role as he did with the Steelers last season. He will remain off the fantasy radar.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling Signs With Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have signed veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a one-year contract worth up to $5.5 million.
Following the departures of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, the 30-year-old WR is expected to provide veteran experience and a deep-threat presence to Seattle’s barren receiving corps. His familiarity with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, under whom he played in New Orleans last season, should accelerate a smooth transition into Seattle’s 2025 offense.

MVS signed with the WR-deprived Saints after being cut from Buffalo in 2024. He immediately made an impact going for 109 yards and 2 TDs in just his second game. Eventually his production trickled out, but he was a nice fit in the “Rashid Shaheed” role under Kubiak.
Seattle’s OC is definitely a big fan of MVS citing how quickly he was able to pick up the offense on the fly after joining the team mid-season.
Valdes-Scantling’s projected role as a primary deep threat in Seattle and the lack of viable targets other than Jaxon Smith-Njigba intrigues him as a late-round target in best ball drafts.

His big-play ability could make him gel with new Seahawks QB, Sam Darnold, who led the NFL last season in deep ball passing yards. Although the Seahawks are a logical candidate to add more WRs to the draft.

Demarcus Robinson Signs With 49ers

The 49ers have signed WR Demarcus Robinson to a two-year, $9.5M deal.

Fantasy Impact: Robinson is joining an offense that will have a much different look at wide receiver after the 49ers dealt Deebo Samuel to the Commanders. The 30-year-old veteran tallied 505 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 31 receptions with the Rams last season.

KaVontae Turpin Signs Three-Year Deal With Cowboys

The Cowboys are finalizing a three-year, $18 million deal with WR/RS KaVontae Turpin.

Fantasy Impact: The deal makes Turpin the highest-paid special teamer. He’ll continue to primarily hold a depth role at wide receiver as well as a role in the return game.

DeAndre Hopkins Signs With Ravens

The Ravens are signing veteran WR DeAndre Hopkins to a one-year, $6 million deal, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Hopkins joins one of the league’s best offenses and figures to be a fixture in three-receiver sets along with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

Clearly, the Ravens aren’t getting vintage DeAndre Hopkins. But Hopkins’ skill set could fit the Baltimore offense nicely.

Over his first two NFL seasons, Zay Flowers‘ average depth of target has been 8.6 yards. Rashod Bateman‘s average depth of target last season was 13.6 yards, and he averaged 16.8 yards per catch.

With Flowers serving primarily as a short-area target and Bateman operating as a deep-ball threat, Hopkins can give Ravens QB Lamar Jackson another intermediate option. Hopkins’ average depth of target last season was 10.4 yards.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Signs With Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have bolstered their receiving corps by signing wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to a two-year, $6.5 million contract, with $3.2 million guaranteed.

Westbrook-Ikhine, 28 by the start of the season, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans in 2020. Over his five year NFL career, the 6-foot-2 and 211-pound wideout appeared in 78 games, starting 39, and amassed 126 receptions for 1,776 yards and 19 touchdowns. In 2024, he recorded career-highs with 60 targets and 497 receiving yards.

Finding the end zone was his calling card in 2024, scoring nine times on just 32 receptions. But given his poor yards per route run (1.14, 86th) and the variance of TDs annually, this production likely was more of a flash-in-the-pan rather than a precursor of a future star.
Joining a talented Miami receiving group headlined by Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Malik Washington, NWI will battle for the WR3 spot with second-year WR, Malik Washington. However the former Titan could very much be fourth or fifth in the target pecking order considering how involved the TEs and RBs are involved in Miami’s offense.

Juwan Johnson Re-Signs With Saints

The New Orleans Saints and tight end Juwan Johnson have agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract extension with $21.25MM guaranteed, solidifying his role in Kellen Moore’s offense.

Johnson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020, signing with the Saints. Over the past four seasons, he has developed into a downfield target and reliable receiver in red-zone situations. In the 2024 season, Johnson recorded 50 receptions for 548 yards and three touchdowns, marking his most productive year to date with career-highs aside from his 2022 campaign (7 TDs).

Daniel Jones Signs One-Year Deal With Colts

The QB competition is on in Indianapolis. Daniel Jones has agreed to a one-year, $14 million deal that could be worth as much as $17.7 million, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Colts GM Chris Ballard said last month that the team will have an open competition at quarterback, and Jones’ 2025 salary suggests that the Colts view him as a serious challenger for incumbent Anthony Richardson‘s job.

For more on the Daniel Jones signing: Daniel Jones Sights With Colts

Zay Jones Re-Signs With Cardinals

The Cardinals re-signed Zay Jones to a 1-year, $4.4M deal.

Fantasy Impact: Jones was suspended five games last season and also missed some time with a hamstring injury. He’ll remain in a depth role in the Cardinals wide receiver room and likely off the fantasy radar.

Najee Harris Signs One-Year Deal With Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers have signed Najee Harris to a one-year deal with a max value of $9.5 million.

Right now, Harris looks like the leader of the Chargers’ backfield for the 2025 season, with only Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal on the roster. The Harris signing doesn’t keep the Bolts from adding to the roster further on Day 3 of the NFL Draft, but for now, he’s in line to be “the guy” for Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman.

Javonte Williams Signs One-Year Deal With Cowboys

After last year’s disappointing season in Denver, Williams lands with the Dallas Cowboys, securing a one-year deal worth up to $3.5 million. Williams had every opportunity to reestablish himself as the leader of Denver’s ground game and a piece of their future last year. Sadly, he wasn’t able to, as he looked like a shell of his former self. The devastating injury he suffered in 2022 has zapped his once prolific tackle-breaking ability. Last year, among 46 qualifying backs, Williams ranked 40th in explosive run rate, 35th in missed tackles forced per attempt, and 43rd in yards after contact per attempt.

I’m curious to see the guaranteed money for his contract. It can’t be much, so I won’t be shocked if Dallas drafts another back on Day 2 of the NFL Draft, and sadly, we see Williams as a cut candidate to close training camp this summer. If you can deal Williams in dynasty with this news popping, do it. I’ll be avoiding him in early best-ball drafts.

Darius Slayton Re-Signs With Giants

Slayton returns to the Giants with a three-year $36 million dollar deal in his hands. Slayton has been a consistent producer during his time in New York, with at least 724 receiving yards in four of his six NFL seasons. While the spike week potential has always been there weekly for a player with a career 13.4 aDOT, the consistency and ability to draw a large market share of targets haven’t been.

Since 2019, Slayton has never finished higher than WR38 in fantasy points per game (no higher than WR53 since 2020) or with more than 1.70 yards per route run (per PFF). Last year, among 113 qualifying wide receivers, he ranked 61st in separation and 65th in route win rate (per Fantasy Points Data). Regardless of who the Giants’ quarterback is in 2025, Slayton will remain a volatile WR4/5 for fantasy football.

Mack Hollins Signs Two-Year Deal with Patriots

Hollins moves from one cold-weather AFC East team to another after signing a two-year deal worth $8.4 million (max $10.4 million). The barefoot Instagram star won’t be a consistent fantasy producer, but he’ll add some much-needed grit to the Patriots roster. Last year, Hollins had only three WR3 or better weekly scoring outings while managing a 9.4% target share with 1.12 yards per route run and an 11% first-read share (per Fantasy Points Data). Hollins is a better NFL addition than he’ll ever be for fantasy purposes. Last year, in addition to his wide receiver duties, he played 110 snaps at inline tight end while also contributing on special teams (per PFF).

This is a locker room/culture addition for a team that desperately needs to establish an identity. With Hollins sharing the same meeting rooms with Mike Vrabel in 2025, New England will be taking another step (small) towards resuming their former winning ways.

Austin Hooper Re-Signs With Patriots

Hooper returns to the New England Patriots on a one-year deal worth $5 million with as much as $7 million if he hits all his incentives. Hooper was forgettable for fantasy last year as the TE30 in fantasy points per game with three TE1 weeks (TE11, TE11, TE6) in weekly scoring. Hooper drew only an 11.4% target share, but he excelled in a number of efficiency metrics. Among 47 qualifying tight ends last year, he was 14th in target per route run rate and 11th in yards per route run and first downs per route run (per Fantasy Points Data).

Hooper is entrenched as the team’s TE2 behind Hunter Henry, which limits his ceiling for redraft fantasy football, but he’s worth tossing a few darts at in the final rounds of early best ball drafts if you’re taking a swing on Drake Maye for 2025. If Henry misses any time this season, Hooper will likely be an interesting streaming option.

Marquise Brown Re-Signs With Chiefs

After nearly all of his 2024 season was lost due to injury, Brown returns to the Kansas City Chiefs with a one-year contract that can be worth up to $11 million. Last season, Brown missed 14 games with a sternoclavicular joint injury. He returned for Weeks 16-17 of the regular season with part-time duty in those contests (27.8-40.3% snap shares). Brown was a full-time player in the playoffs, earning a 15.7% target share with 0.67 yards per route run, a 14.8% first-read share, and 0.040 first downs per route run (per Fantasy Points Data). None of those metrics will get anyone excited. During the playoffs, he had a 0.054 separation score and a 14.9% route win rate, which during the regular season would have ranked 93rd  and 49th among wide receivers with at least 70 routes run.

Rashee Rice’s 2025 season has a murky outlook, and Xavier Worthy has been garnering less-than-ideal news headlines recently. Brown will be in the mix as one of Patrick Mahomes’ trusted weapons this upcoming season, but I don’t know if that will equate to more than another run-of-the-mill WR4 for fantasy. That’s assuming that Brown will stay healthy, which has been a struggle during his NFL career.

Joshua Palmer Signs With Bills

The Buffalo Bills have added another weapon to their potent offense with the signing of Joshua Palmer to a three-year deal for 36 million dollars.

This is great for their offense and Josh Allen, but it increases the blood pressure and anxiety for fantasy gamers weekly. Khalil Shakir was the only Bills receiving threat to surpass a 20% target share last year, and that only carried him to a WR33 finish in fantasy points per game. Palmer could easily out-kick his ADP in 2025 and become a nice flex play/WR3 like Shakir did before him.

 Justin Fields Signs With Jets

Justin Fields is signing a two-year, $40-million deal with the New York Jets that includes $30 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Jets needed a replacement at quarterback after deciding to part ways with their 2024 starter, Aaron Rodgers. Into the void steps Fields, who appeared in 10 games and made six starts for the Steelers last season, completing 106-of-161 passes for 1,106 yards with five touchdowns and one interception. He also had 289 rushing yards and five TD runs.

For more on the Fields signing: Justin Fields Signs With Jets

Samaje Perine Signs With Bengals

Samaje Perine is signing a two-year deal with the Bengals that could be worth up to $3.8 million, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. An eight-year NFL veteran, Perine played with the Bengals from 2019 through 2022. He played 17 games for the Chiefs last year and had 28 catches for 322 yards and a touchdown while serving primarily as a passing-down back. He had 20 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Impact: The 29-year-old Perine isn’t likely to be fantasy-viable in 2025. Chase Brown is Cincinnati’s lead back, and the Bengals are probably going to tap into a deep RB class and add another running back in the draft. Brown was terrific for the Bengals last season but isn’t a very good pass blocker, so the addition of Perine as a third-down back makes sense.

Dyami Brown Joins Jaguars

The Jaguars are signing former Commanders WR Dyami Brown to a one-year, $10 million deal that could be worth as much as $12 million, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Brown is coming off the best season of his four-year NFL career, with 30 catches for 308 yards and one touchdown in 16 games. Brown took his game to another level in the playoffs, catching 14 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown in Washington’s three postseason games.

Fantasy Impact: Brian Thomas Jr. has established himself as the undisputed alpha receiver in Jacksonville after a triumphant rookie season, but Brown has the potential to be a productive complementary receiver if new head coach Liam Coen can work his magic on QB Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars’ passing game. It’s not clear whether Brown will play ahead of veteran Gabe Davis in two-receiver sets, but it’s a good bet Brown will be on the field in three- and four-receiver sets. Brown will be an intriguing late-round flyer in 2025 fantasy drafts.

Aaron Jones Re-Signs With Vikings

After a productive 2024 campaign as the RB16 overall and RB19 in points per game (half-PPR) Aaron Jones has inked a two-year deal to stay with the Minnesota Vikings. The veteran running back proved he still has plenty left in the tank, making him a solid fantasy option in a Vikings offense led by (presumably) J.J. McCarthy or another quarterback to be named later.

If the Vikings’ offense is above average, Jones will be a fantasy RB2 on a per-game basis. The pass-catching is another arrow in his quiver that could alleviate a lot of his rushing/scoring concerns.

Yet, I’m still not sure he is one of my main targets among the RB crop, especially with more competition being added which might not be baked into his current best ball ADP (RB26).

For more on the Aaron Jones signing: Aaron Jones re-signs with the Vikings

Jimmy Garoppolo Re-Signs With Rams

The Rams have re-signed QB Jimmy Garoppolo to a one-year deal, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

An 11-year NFL veteran, Garoppolo will spend a second consecutive season with the Rams after appearing in one game last season. Garoppolo started for the Rams in Week 18 and completed 27-of-41 passes for 334 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against Seattle.

Fantasy Impact: Competent as a passer but completely immobile, Garoppolo is undraftable in fantasy leagues but might be worth picking up on waivers if Rams starter Matthew Stafford were to go down.

Jordan Mason Receives Second-Round Tender From 49ers

The 49ers have tendered RB Jordan Mason with the second-round tender.

Fantasy Impact: Mason is now a restricted free agent, meaning the 49ers will have a chance to match any offer Mason receives from another team. He tallied 789 rushing yards and three touchdowns in 12 games with the 49ers last season.

Elijah Mitchell Signs One-Year Deal With Chiefs

Former San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell is signing a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: While Isiah Pacheco dealt with injury in 2024 and struggled to return to form, the next option in K.C. was bringing in Kareem Hunt. Looking ahead to 2025, the Chiefs are building in new insurance plans, bringing in a back who has proven to be an efficient runner when given the chance. However, Mitchell comes with his own injury history, including a season-ending injury in 2024 (hamstring), an MCL sprain in 2022, and multiple others. The deal is worth $3.5 million, per Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.

Chris Godwin Re-Signs with Buccaneers

Chris Godwin has agreed to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a three-year deal worth $66M, with $44M guaranteed, according to multiple reports that came out right as the NFL’s legal tampering period was beginning.

With this contract extension, Godwin is expected to return to being a focal point in Tampa Bay’s passing attack and the No. 1 target for quarterback Baker Mayfield. Fantasy managers should consider him a high-floor WR2, particularly in full PPR formats, given his high reception totals in recent seasons

For more on the Chris Godwin signing: Chris Godwin Re-Signs with Buccaneers

Zach Ertz Re-Ups With Commanders

The Commanders are re-signing TE Zach Ertz to a one-year, $6.25 million deal that could be worth up to $9 million with incentives.

Ertz is 34 years old but played all 17 games last season – his first full season since 2021. Ertz had 66 catches for 654 yards and seven touchdowns last year, finishing TE7 in PPR fantasy scoring. He was torrid down the stretch, with 47 receptions for 428 yards and seven touchdowns over his final 10 games, including Washington’s three playoff games.

Fantasy Impact: With QB Jayden Daniels looking like a potential superstar, and with the chemistry Daniels and Ertz showed late in the season, Ertz profiles as a midrange to low-end TE1 for fantasy in 2025. The Commanders recently acquired WR Deebo Samuel in a trade with the 49ers, but Samuel hasn’t been a prolific target earner in recent years, and his presence shouldn’t put a significant dent in Ertz’s fantasy value.

Mike Gesicki Re-Signs With Bengals

Mike Gesicki has agreed to a new three-year deal with the Bengals worth $25.5 million, including $12 million in the first year of the contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact: Gesicki is coming off his best season since 2021. He finished the 2024 season with 65 catches for 665 yards and two touchdowns last year, making him the TE13 in fantasy scoring. But Gesicki averaged only 4.9 targets a game last season. Even though he plays with QB Joe Burrow, one of the best passers in the game, Gesicki has limited upside due to the presence of ace WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Consider Gesicki a high-end to midrange TE2.

Jaylen Warren Receives Second-Round Tender From Steelers

The Steelers placed a second-round restricted free agent tender on RB Jaylen Warren on Monday, per team reports. GM Omar Khan hinted at this move in late February, opting for a 5.2 million dollar salary over the cheaper 3.19 million dollar original-round tender. The higher tag means any team signing Warren would owe Pittsburgh a second-round pick, all but ensuring he stays put for 2025. With Najee Harris set to hit unrestricted free agency, Warren could step into the lead back role if Harris walks.

Fantasy Impact:

Warren’s tender locks him into Pittsburgh, and Harris’ potential exit could vault him to RB1 status—boosting his 2024 flex appeal into starter territory. His dual-threat game already shone in a shared backfield; solo duties might push him toward RB2 or better in 2025. The 5.2 million dollar price tag signals confidence, making him a mid-round target with upside. If Harris re-signs, Warren’s still a solid depth piece—watch free agency to set his ceiling.

Geno Smith Traded to Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have acquired quarterback Geno Smith in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for a 2025 third-round pick, shaking up their offense ahead of the 2025 season.

With a solid supporting cast that includes Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers, Smith’s fantasy outlook will hinge on how well he adapts to a new system led by offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. While he’s unlikely to crack the top-15 QB1 tier in standard formats, he presents streaming potential in favorable matchups and remains a viable option in Superflex leagues.

For more on the DK Metcalf trade: Geno Smith Traded to Raiders

DK Metcalf Traded to Steelers

The Steelers are acquiring WR DK Metcalf from the Seahawks for a 2025 second-round pick and are signing him to a five-year, $150 million contract extension, according to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports.

The Steelers needed more firepower at wide receiver. George Pickens has abundant talent, but the 24-year-old wideout can also be maddeningly immature. Pickens led Pittsburgh wide receivers with 59 catches and 900 yards last season. Calvin Austin had 36 catches and 548 yards. No other Steelers receiver reached 300 receiving yards.

For fantasy purposes, Pickens and Metcalf should tentatively be regarded as either low-end WR2s or high-end WR3s, though it depends on how the Steelers resolve their quarterback situation. They currently have a vacancy at quarterback, though it seems likely they’ll re-sign either Justin Fields or Russell Wilson, who both made starts at quarterback for Pittsburgh last season and are both free agents.

For more on the DK Metcalf trade: DK Metcalf Traded to Steelers

Davante Adams to Rams

Well, so much for the Davante Adams & Aaron Rodgers tandem landing with the same team this offseason. Adams’ landing in Los Angeles does ensure one thing… Cooper Kupp is gone. Kupp will be dealt at some time. Lock it in.

The big question right now is what can we expect from Puka Nacua‘s new running mate in 2025? Adams should be considered a top-15 fantasy wide receiver with WR1 upside this upcoming season. Looking back at last year, toss Adams’ production with the Raiders in the trash. He had horrible quarterback play last year in Las Vegas and was dealing with a hamstring issue. His numbers from his time with the Jets are more indicative of what we should expect this upcoming season.
