The Minnesota Timberwolves and shooting guard Kevin Martin have agreed to terms on a buyout. The announcement came about a half hour before the deadline for Martin to be eligible for the post-season with another team. In a statement, Martin said the two parties came to an agreement "after five sleepless nights." The San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in signing Martin. (Marc Stein on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Martin has played in just four games in the second half of the season after a nagging wrist injury kept him out of the lineup. This season, he has averaged 10.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 39 appearances.
