Jimmy Butler suspended for seven games, Heat open to trade offers

Jimmy Butler has been suspended seven games for "conduct detrimental to the team" and the team is now open to trade offers for the forward after Heat president Pat Riley had previously vowed not to trade him. The suspension stems from numerous events over the past weeks, including his public trade request. (Shams Charania on X)
Fantasy Impact:
This appears to be the last straw for the Jimmy Butler saga in South Beach. Butler made it known he wants out and the Heat now seem to have a shared desire. This is a team suspension so the sooner a trade comes down the better for fantasy managers as seven games means if there are no suitors he won't be back on the court before January 17. It's anyone's guess how that situation will play out should he still be a Heat on that day. Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez Jr. should see increased minutes with Butler out of the equation.
