Ricky Council IV “checks-in” in win over the Hornets

Ricky Council IV totaled six points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3PT), one rebound, and one steal in the Sixers’ 121-108 win over the Hornets.
Fantasy Impact:
The undrafted rookie out of Arkansas “checked in” and could be doing so more frequently as the Sixers look to repair and rebuild after a rough start to their season. In games where he’s played more than 20.0 minutes, Council has averaged 14.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals while shooting an impressive 53.8 percent from the floor. While he may not bring the star upside Jared McCain offered, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Sixers uncovered yet another “gem” in Council. They’ve developed a knack for putting young talent in high-pressure situations and unlocking their potential early. If the Sixers respond and deploy him with confidence, Council could quickly become an intriguing asset to monitor in both season-long and DFS formats as the season unfolds.
