In games where he’s played more than 20.0 minutes, Council has averaged 14.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals while shooting an impressive 53.8 percent from the floor. While he may not bring the star upside Jared McCain offered, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Sixers uncovered yet another “gem” in Council. They’ve developed a knack for putting young talent in high-pressure situations and unlocking their potential early. If the Sixers respond and deploy him with confidence, Council could quickly become an intriguing asset to monitor in both season-long and DFS formats as the season unfolds.
