Cameron Johnson scores 18 points in win over the Heat

by Joel E. Ruffin Jr. | Nets Correspondent | Thu, Feb 16th 8:12am EST

Cameron Johnson totaled 18 points (6-14 FG, 3-10 3PT, 3-4 FT), one rebound, three assists, and one block in the Nets’ 116-105 win over the Heat.

Fantasy Impact:

Johnson scored 18.0 points in the Nets’ win over the Heat, putting together his fifth consecutive game with a double-digit performance. Johnson is having the best season of his young career. He has an excellent opportunity to take his game to the next level now, being on a team with limited viable game-changing assets in the rotation. He has a solid floor, and even though his ceiling is limited has demonstrated the ability to be a game-changer on the court and as a member of your fantasy rosters. Johnson's price-point is low enough to justify an investment and high enough to curb ownership; this, in combination with his conservative play, could be just the right blend of attributes to make him a fine last-piece option. It could take him some time to find his rhythm as his game will have to adjust to the new opportunity; even though this could lead to some inconsistencies, his developing talent, potential, and role on the team could set him up to make ample contributions for a production-starved Nets squad.
