Jordan Poole starts, drops 36 points in loss

by Luke Monaldo | Wizards Correspondent | Thu, Dec 8th 8:00am EST

Jordan Poole scored 36 points (10-23 FG, 4-13 3P, 12-13 FT) with four rebounds and eight assists across 37 minutes in Golden State’s 124-123 loss to the Jazz on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Poole once again shined in the starting lineup, bringing his scoring average up to 27.4 across his seven starts this season. Contrast this with his overall 17.7-point average for the season and it is abundantly clear that Poole needs to be back in the starting lineup. It would increase Poole's contributions and take pressure off the recently inefficient Klay Thompson if he came off the bench. This seems unlikely but Poole owners will have to wait for spot starts as long as the Splash Brothers are healthy. That being said, Steph Curry missed Wednesday’s game with ankle soreness so Poole could see more run in the short term.
