Denzel Valentine gets spot start and logs first 20-pointer of season
by Dave Kluge | Sun, Feb 7th 2:24pm EST
Denzel Valentine recorded 20 points (8-17 FG, 4-10 3PT), four assists, three rebounds, and one steal in Saturday's win in Orlando.
Fantasy Impact:
With Lauri Markkanen out with a shoulder injury, Valentine saw a season-high in minutes and points in Saturday's win. His shooting clips this season are pretty in-line with his career averages but he's playing just 18.3 minutes per game. His usage peaked in 2017-2018 when he was seeing 27.2 minutes per game. Unfortunately, he was only able to average 10.2 points per game with that opportunity though. He'll make for a decent budget DFS play in games where he's starting, but he isn't worth a pickup in any season-long formats.
