Steve Nash retires from NBA

After 19 seasons, Steve Nash has officially called it quits and retired from the NBA on Saturday. Nash was drafted in 1996 by the Suns before really starting to come on as a Maverick. After he was traded back to the Suns in 2004, Nash's stardom took off and he was one of the best players in the game, as evidenced by his two Most Valuable Player awards. Nash spent his last three seasons with the Lakers before retiring.
Fantasy Impact:
In his prime, Steve Nash was regarded as one of the best point guards ever. But his three seasons with the Lakers have been plagued by injuries as he played just 65 of a possible 246 games with the team. Rookie Jordan Clarkson looks like he could have a bright future and the team also has Jeremy Lin, but now that Nash's contract will be off the books it might be time to search for additional point guard help.
