Fantasy Impact:
Still just 20 years old, Bonga has been a pleasant surprise for the Wizards in 2019 after coming over from the Lakers, who drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He played some good minutes for the Wizards down the stretch prior to the shutdown, and will look to gain the confidence of the coaching staff going forward by putting on respectable performances during the remainder of the 2019-20 season. He’s not going to fill up the stat sheet necessarily, but he’s capable of doing all the little things necessary to help a team win. Brooks praised Bonga’s work ethic and fun-loving nature recently, stating, “it’s actually fun to see, because we all love him. His energy, his spirit — just his smile. I mean, he’s always happy." Look for Bonga to play a solid allotment of minutes during the season restart as the Wizards give a look to some of their young players with potential.
