Gerald Green drew interest from multiple teams but elected not to play

According to sources, veteran G/F Gerald Green drew interest from multiple teams including the Houston Rockets ahead of the June 30th transaction window cut-off. (Marc Stein on Twitter)

Ultimately, Green decided it was in his and his family’s best interest for him to not play in the 2019-20 season restart. Green’s partner is expected to give birth in August and he didn’t want to risk anything heading into the bubble in Disney World. The 34-year old has received medical clearance to play again after a broken foot, and will become a free agent ahead of the 2020-21 season.
