Is Tyler Johnson the Heat's newest rising star?

by Jonathan Ebanks | Mon, Feb 2nd 11:47am EST

Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson came off the bench in Sunday's win over the Celtics to tally up 13 points on four-of-nine shooting and a triple with nine boards, four assists, two steals, two blocks, and a turnover in 27 minutes.

Fantasy Impact:

It would've been tough for the Heat to pull though the absences of Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and Luol Deng (calf) without Johnson. The Fresno State star already delivered a career-best outing like this in just his third NBA game. Johnson provides energy and athleticism the Heat backcourt lacks. Therefore, it is likely that Johnson stays on the roster after Wade returns and Napier goes back to the D-League instead. All in all, Johnson is certainly making his case to stick around in Miami
