Fantasy Impact
The veteran outfielder managed to connect for his seventh homer of the season, contributing a solo shot that briefly sparked hopes of a Pittsburgh rally. Despite the loss, McCutchen's power display is a positive sign for fantasy managers, especially considering his rather pedestrian .224 batting average and modest RBI total (14) thus far. His ability to still clear the fences is encouraging, but his overall fantasy impact remains limited by his inconsistent hitting and the lackluster lineup surrounding him.
