Angel Zerpa (shoulder) to begin rehab assignment Thursday

Royals pitcher Angel Zerpa will begin a rehab assignment on Thursday as he works his way back from left shoulder tendinopathy.

Fantasy Impact

His rehab destination has yet to be determined but it appears the left-hander has been progressing well of late. Zerpa has yet to pitch at any level this season due to the shoulder injury and spent the bulk of the 2022 season at Double-A where he posted a 4.36 ERA in 13 starts. He appeared in three games for the Royals, posting a 1.64 ERA -- albeit with a 5.51 SIERA -- across 11 innings of work.
