David Ross with an emotional day and a HR Sunday

Ross was shown a great deal of love by the fans and his opponents on Sunday during his last regular season home game. He was given standing ovations as he went into the box for his first two plate appearances. Opposing catcher Molina even bought the crowd some time by stepping away from the plate so Ross could pay attention and soak it in. During that second at-bat, the game was tied at 0 when Ross got ahold of a pitch and hit a HR that seemed so fitting given the environment.
Fantasy Impact:
He is not an elite fantasy player but the way he has been treated should help people understand that he means much more to the team and his teammates than his offensive stats show. He has no long-term fantasy value as he is reported to be retiring after the season.
