Mark Teixeira a defensive substitute for the Yankees
by Chris Zolli | Sat, Sep 17th 5:10pm EDT
Mark Teixiera went 0-for-1 after replacing Billy Butler in the Yankees' 6-5 loss to the Red Sox. Teixiera is 1-for-11 with two runs scored over the last seven days. He has a .627 OPS this season.
Fantasy Impact:
Billy Butler will make Teixeira even less valuable in his last season, as Butler was signed to face the bevy of left-handed pitchers that the Yankees will face at the end of the 2016 season. Teixeira is hitting .211 with three doubles, three home runs, four runs scored, and four RBI in September.
