Henry Owens was crushed in Sunday's 10-5 loss to the Tigers, yielding eight runs on six hits over five innings. Owens struck out six on the afternoon. He also walked five.

Owens who is considered one of Boston's top pitching prospects was called up from the minors for a spot start on Sunday. He did not fare well and continues to struggle at the major league level. Owens has issues with his control and in four starts with Boston this season he is 0-1 with a 7.79 ERA and 2.13 WHIP with 18 walks and 15 strikeouts over 17 innings pitched.
