Hank Conger homers, doubles in Rays victory
by Mike Werner | Sat, Jun 4th 11:07pm EDT
Hank Conger went 2-for-3 with a solo-home run, double, and a walk in the Rays 7-4 win over the Twins on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
This was only Conger's fourth start in-the-last eight games, as the Rays deploy Curt Casali and him evenly. His home run was in the third inning off of Ervin Santana on a first-pitch breaking ball, and was not only his second of the year, but his second in-his-last four starts. His double was his third of the season, and mixed in with his two other doubles and home runs gives him five extra-base hits over his last 13 at-bats. His season line still sits at a meager .208/.260/.333, and he'll continue to be relegated to two-catcher AL-Only formats.
