SP Cody Anderson gave up one run on five hits over seven innings on Monday vs. White Sox. He struck out nine without allowing a walk.

Cody Anderson was recalled from Triple-A to make this start in the second game of the doubleheader and then produced one of the best outings of his career. The key for the 25-year-old was his curveball, a pitch that he had been working on in Spring Training. He threw it 21 times, having never thrown it more than 10 in a game previously.
