Updating a previous item, the Miami Marlins did not in fact sign veteran lefty Joe Beimel. (Clark Spencer on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
There were several reports surfacing that the Marlins had signed Beimel, even that he was reporting to extended spring training. Instead, the Marlins passed on signing Beimel after seeing him pitch.
