John Lamb to be skipped, avoid DL

The Reds plan to skip John Lamb's next start due to his thumb injury. Still, the SP isn't expected to require a stint on the disabled list as a result of the injury. (Reds.MLB.com)

Lamb was forced to leave his most recent start early due to the thumb ailment. He's been solid in two starts since joining the team's rotation, providing a 1.80 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with seven strikeouts in 10 innings pitched.
