Josh Fields pitched the ninth inning for the Astros on Thursday when the Royals held a five run lead in the ninth. Fields allowed one hit while striking out one.
Fantasy Impact:
Josh Fields has allowed five runs on the season, all of which came in his first two appearances. In his last three appearances, Fields has had much more command and hasn't allowed a run. It's a good sign for the veteran right-hander and the Astros who need their bullpen to improve drastically. While his appearance Thursday wasn't a chance for a hold he should have quite a few hold opportunities as the season progresses. If you're in a league that counts holds he is worth watching. Otherwise, he shouldn't be on your radar.
