Preston Tucker gets on base in home opener
by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Tue, Apr 12th 12:02am EDT
Preston Tucker struggled slightly as the team DH in the Monday night home opener against the world champion Kansas City Royals, going 0-for-2 with a ground out and a strikeout. He did, however, draw a pair of walks in the game. Tucker still maintains a stellar .333 average so far this season.
Fantasy Impact:
Not only hitting for average, Tucker also has a current OPS of 1.345, which is just as stellar. Odds are that he may lose some at bats upon the imminent return of Evan Gattis this week. However, the work that has been put in by the sophomore outfielder will not be overlooked. Given the recent struggles of Carlos Gomez, Tucker may just get some more at-bats yet. It is clear that he deserves to. Fantasy owners should consider getting Tucker, if you don't already have him.
