In his 11-year career, Blanton has pitched for the Athletics, Phillies, Angels, Royals, Pirates and Dodgers back in 2012. He's amassed a 92-91 record, 4.44 ERA and 1.348 WHIP during that span. He will likely be swingman out of the bullpen. With the suspect health and lefty-dominance of the Dodgers' starting rotation, Blanton could be a valuable piece of the pitching staff.
