Fantasy Impact:
Motte is pegged to be the likely closer for the Rockies, as they lost John Axford to free agency, making him a must-watch this preseason to determine his fantasy value. Motte had right-shoulder fatigue late last season and was on the DL, and while he passed a physical, it is still worth monitoring. Motte would be a late-round flier in drafts, moving to around the 20th-ranked closer mark if given the position.
