Kyle Nicolas recalled by Pirates

The Pirates recalled right-hander Kyle Nicolas from Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, according to Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Nicolas replaces Thomas Harrington on the active roster to provide bullpen depth despite struggling mightily at Triple-A (12.79 ERA over 6.1 IP). (Noah Hiles)
