Fantasy Impact:
Cruz was hit on the finger by a pitch in the seventh inning of Tuesday’s game and was replaced by a pinch hitter in the ninth when his turn in the batting order came up. Manager Shelton stated that Cruz was available to pinch-run or play defense on Wednesday but was not ready to hit. His next chance to play again will be in Friday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds. Cruz is considered day-to-day.
