Logan Gilbert takes no-hitter into sixth inning Monday
by Ari Koslow | Mariners Correspondent | Tue, Apr 8th 2:16am EDT
Logan Gilbert allowed one run on one hit over 5 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts and two walks in a no-decision on Monday against the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
Gilbert had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning before Jose Altuve took him deep to end it. The two-run home run hit by Ryan Bliss in the fifth inning were the first runs the Mariners had scored while Gilbert was still in the game in a start this season. He was on track for the win until a Dylan Moore error in the eighth inning cost Seattle the lead. Gilbert is scheduled to face the Rangers next.
