Daulton Varsho progresses throwing, rehab assignment not close

by Bruno Mulé | Blue Jays Correspondent | Fri, Apr 4th 12:42pm EDT

Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho (shoulder) is throwing from 150-to-165 feet but has not yet been cleared for game throws in extended spring training, manager John Schneider told Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca Friday. Varsho continues to hit without issue but needs to progress further in his throwing program following right shoulder surgery before a rehab assignment is considered. (Shi Davidi)

Fantasy Impact:

Varsho is increasing his throwing distance, but not being cleared for game throws yet means a rehab assignment isn't close. Expect the outfielder (recovering from shoulder surgery) back sometime in May at the earliest. Continue stashing him on IL.
