Braves reliever Jesse Chavez was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday but instead elected free agency. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Chavez was in the midst of an incredible sixth stint with the Braves prior to Thursday's transactions. The veteran of 654 career appearances could certainly garner some interest on the open market after posting a rock-solid 3.13 ERA across 46 outings with the Braves last season.
