Valdez turned in a brilliant performance on the mound to open the season, allowing four hits while also striking out four over seven scoreless innings against the Mets on Thursday. The left-hander can remain locked into lineups for fantasy managers as the ace of the Houston rotation against a San Francisco lineup off to a slow start to begin the season.
