Jerar Encarnacion underwent surgery on Friday to repair a left hand fracture and is expected to miss the next eight weeks. (Justice delos Santos on Twitter)

Jerar Encarnacion (left hand fracture) underwent surgery yesterday with Dr. Steve Shin LA to repair his left-hand fracture.

He’ll be in a splint for two weeks before he can start his rehab. His return to play is eight weeks.

Encarnacion is expected to be in a splint for the next two weeks. He will likely be sidelined until at least the end of May and potentially into June.
