Derek Law (arm) to open season on IL

Derek Law will start the regular season on the injured list with arm soreness. (Spencer Nusbaum on Twitter)

Derek Law told me this morning he won’t be ready for Opening Day.

He figures he’ll head to the 15-day IL, though the Nats haven’t determined that yet. He feels he probably won’t need all 15 days.

He ramped up late, and feels a bit too sore after he throws. Story ⬇️

Fantasy Impact:

It did not sound like a serious concern as Law told reporters the news on Saturday. He could join the Nationals bullpen at some point in April.
