Adrian Del Castillo (arm) will take the field as catcher for his first start of the spring Friday against the Royals, per team reports.
Fantasy Impact:
After opening Cactus League play with two starts at DH due to right arm fatigue, the young backstop is now good to go behind the plate. Del Castillo’s in the mix for the Diamondbacks’ backup catcher gig behind Gabriel Moreno. He’s a long shot for fantasy relevance unless injuries open the door, but this step forward keeps him in the conversation for deep-league rosters.
