Scott Effross has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, per Greg Joyce of the New York Post.
Fantasy Impact:
Effross suffered the injury while delivering his first and only pitch in a Grapefruit League outing earlier this week. He has since received a PRP injection and is expected to be sidelined for an extended period. This is another setback for the right-hander, who has made just 32 major league appearances over the past two seasons due to various injuries. His availability for the start of the regular season is now in serious doubt.
