Guardians outfielder George Valera has added throwing and hitting into his progression and is taking batting practice this week. (MLB.com)

Additionally, Valera is expected to progress into defensive work in early March as he works his way back from a right patellar tendon repair. The 24-year-old hit .248 with 17 homers and six stolen bases across 90 games at Triple-A in 2024.
