Marcus Stroman to pitch live batting practice

Marcus Stroman , who was slated to start Tuesday’s game against the Twins in Fort Myers, will instead stay in Tampa to throw live batting practice, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

Fantasy Impact:

Stroman pitched a scoreless inning in his spring debut last week, allowing two hits with one strikeout. While he has expressed a desire to start, his role remains uncertain, particularly if Clarke Schmidt overcomes his back issue. If Schmidt is healthy, Stroman could begin the season in a long-relief role, making his fantasy value more situational heading into Opening Day.
