Lawrence Butler, Athletics talking extension

Fantasy Impact:
The two sides have talked, but it is unclear how close they are to coming to an agreement on a long-term extension. Butler was sent down in the middle of last season before he was able to finish strong, hitting .291 with 20 home runs and 15 steals over his final 84 games after being recalled in June.
