Juan Soto and the New York Mets are in agreement on a record-breaking 15-year, $765 million deal. (Jeff Passan)
Fantasy Impact:
Everyone knew it would be big, but this is next level. Soto is 26 years old, meaning this contract will run until his age-41 season. In fantasy, Soto remains a Top 10 pick until further notice, though what kind of team the Mets will have around him in the lineup will determine just how high his impact will get. While Citi Field is not as friendly as Yankee Stadium, fantasy managers can expect plenty of power and counting stats, and he remains the 1.1 in any OBP league. Beware the letdown that can happen after signing gigantic deals, but Soto is too good (and too young) to pass up in 2025.
