Matt Chapman Powers Giants Past D-backs

by Matthew Adam | Giants Correspondent | Tue, Sep 24th 5:58am EDT

Matt Chapman went 2-for-4 in the Giants' 6-3 victory over the Diamondbacks with a triple, a home run, one run scored, three RBI, and a walk.

Fantasy Impact:

This performance highlighted his ability to contribute significantly in multiple categories, albeit with a couple of strikeouts. Despite a batting average that might not dazzle (.249 on the season), Chapman's power numbers remain robust with 27 homers and 78 RBI through 149 games. His ability to mix extra-base hits with a decent on-base component (.342 wOBA) keeps him relevant in most fantasy formats, especially in leagues that value power hitting from the hot corner. However, his high strikeout rate (153 Ks, .243 K-rate) continues to be a drag on his batting average, making him a somewhat volatile option week-to-week.
