J.T. Ginn allowed three earned runs on ten hits while striking out three in a four-inning performance as the Athletics fell to the White Sox 7-6.
Fantasy Impact:
This outing did little to reassure fantasy managers about Ginn's reliability, especially given his elevated 4.94 season ERA and 1.39 WHIP. His strikeout rate remains decent at 8.7 K/9, but the high BABIP of .343 suggests he's been somewhat unlucky with balls in play. However, his inability to limit hits and runs significantly hampers his fantasy appeal. Ginn's role doesn't include save situations, further limiting his utility in typical fantasy formats. Managers should consider other options unless he shows marked improvement in controlling opposing hitters.
