Domingo German allowed six earned runs and nine hits over three innings in Wednesday's 12-0 loss to the Cubs.
Fantasy Impact:
This outing only deepened the woes in German's already troubling season, pushing his ERA further north and doing no favors for his WHIP. With a season-long performance that includes a high ERA of 7.84 and a WHIP of 1.84, his reliability as a fantasy option continues to plummet. His strikeout rate isn't enough to offset the damage done by the frequent hits and runs he allows, making him a risky play in all but the deepest of leagues. Fantasy managers should consider other more stable options unless German shows signs of significant improvement.
