Kyle Freeland Falters, Rockies Shut Out by Braves
by Emily Maingi | Rockies Correspondent | Wed, Sep 4th 11:16am EDT
Kyle Freeland took the loss in a 3-0 defeat to the Braves on Tuesday. He allowed one earned run on six hits and zero walks while striking out five over five innings.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite a decent performance in minimizing walks and keeping his team in the game, Freeland's season struggles continue to overshadow his outings. With a 5.30 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP over 17 starts, his inconsistency remains a significant concern for fantasy managers. His ability to maintain a solid strikeout-to-walk ratio offers some upside, but the high ERA and WHIP make him a risky play in most fantasy formats. His performance today does little to boost confidence in his rest-of-season outlook.
