The Marlins have activated Josh Simpson (elbow) from the IL and optioned him to Triple-A Jacksonville. (Marlins on Twitter)

Simpson has been cleared for action after completing a rehab assignment, but will not return to the Miami bullpen currently. He struggled during his rehab assignment and will look to turn in better performances moving forward.
