Jorge Mateo (elbow) out for the season

Jorge Mateo underwent UCL reconstruction surgery on his left elbow and is out for the season. (Dan Connolly on Twitter )

According to Orioles: Jorge Mateo had successful left elbow ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction with internal brace and flexor repair today. It was performed by Dr. Keith Meister at Trinity Park Surgery Center in Arlington, Texas. So, sadly, his season is officially done.

Fantasy Impact:

Mateo will end the season with a .229 average, with five home runs, 18 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in 68 games this season. He will focus on rehabbing for the 2025 season.
