Nick Lodolo endured a rough outing in Thursday's 7-0 loss to the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
He allowed five earned runs on just two hits and three walks while striking out nine over 4.2 innings. Despite showcasing his ability to miss bats, Lodolo's inconsistency this season continues to be a concern for fantasy managers. His ERA ballooned to 4.76, and while his WHIP remains a respectable 1.20, his tendency to have blow-up starts like this one can be damaging. His high strikeout rate still makes him a viable fantasy option, but managers should be wary of matchups and consider him a risky play in shallower leagues. Since the all-star break, Lodolo has a 7.78 ERA over 37 innings pitched.
