Kyle Hendricks allowed one earned run over five innings in a narrow 6-5 victory against the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
He scattered five hits, struck out two, and walked none, delivering a performance that was a breath of fresh air given his turbulent season stats. With a season ERA of 6.35 and a WHIP of 1.42, Hendricks's latest outing might not turn many heads, but it's a step in the right direction for fantasy managers desperate for stability. His low strikeout rate (6.3 K/9) continues to limit his upside, however, and without the ability to dominate in strikeouts, Hendricks remains a risky play in most fantasy formats.
